The children of Wat Don chan school joined the CMSCA cricket program in February 2009, since then they have developed at a very rapid rate, the Sawasdee cricket team winning their first tournament at the Prince Royal's College in February 2010, exactly one year on, thus breaking the winning streak of the Chol Phratan Phataek school from Doi Saket who had won the previous 9 tournaments during the last 3 years!

In their first season the Boy's have finished joint top of the league with their arch rivals Chol Phratan Phataek, after a thrilling last game of the season when the WDC cricket team came out on top of the clash, now it's all down to a play off on the 19th June to see who takes away the 2009-2010 season U-15 Chiang Mai junior cricket league Champions Trophy. Top this off with 3 of the Boy's, Pong, Choo and Nikon, being part of the winning Chiang Mai u-19 team in the recent Makhamwan games in Phetchabun. all this, in just over one year!!!

WDC Cricket team disbanded.

Unfortunately the school and the temple no longer supported the junior cricket program despite cricket being introduced to the school curriculum earlier this year and despite being the most successful team in the Chiang Mai, so the team has now been disband and a new cricket team will be created, 12 of the boy's have moved from the Wat Donchan school to Buak Krocnoi school about 4 kilometres away and will be housed according to our sponsorship program at a new Hostel, this will allow their cricket skills to develop more and a chance for them to improve their English with our English language program.
